What is the PepsiCo Greenhouse Collaborative Accelerator?

The PepsiCo Greenhouse Collaborative Accelerator (GHAC) is a pilot-oriented, mentorship-based program dedicated to fostering sustainable innovation in agriculture, circular economy, and greenhouse gas emissions reduction. This program supports early-stage startups by providing expert business advisory and collaboration opportunities with PepsiCo1.

Program Benefits

By being a part of the Greenhouse Accelerator, startups will receive:

  1. Wrap-around, ongoing mentorship from PepsiCo experts, partners and VCs
  2. The opportunity to pilot innovations
  3. Real-world insights on market viability and learning modules to help create impact
  4. Non-dilutive grants to use towards growing the business. Each finalist receives a non-dilutive grant of $20,000 USD, with the winning startup awarded an additional $100,000 USD.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the PepsiCo Greenhouse Collaborative Accelerator, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a startup with revenue ranging from pre-revenue to up to $7M USD in sales in the previous financial year.
  • Have business operations in one of the participating APAC region markets (China, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Fiji, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pacific Islands, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Vietnam).
  • Be willing to collaborate with PepsiCo Greenhouse Accelerator mentors and participate in Accelerator events throughout the program, running from April to September.

Participating Programs

The GHAC focuses on solutions in the following areas:

  • Circular Economy: Plastic collection and sorting to enhance recycling feedstock yield, reusable and innovative packaging models, advancing plastic recycling technologies.
  • Climate Action: Renewable energy generation and solutions, carbon capture and storage technologies, alternative energy vehicles and transportation, efficient digital lifecycle assessment (LCA) solutions.
  • Sustainable Agriculture: Precision agriculture and new energy technologies for farming, autonomous equipment for planting, harvesting, and disease prevention, sustainable alternatives to fertilizers.

Application Process

The application process involves:

  1. Applying for admission to the GHAC program.
  2. Submitting required documents, including a completed application form, curriculum vitae, motivation letter, academic transcripts, and responses to written mathematics and coding problems.
  3. Being shortlisted as an eligible candidate by the GHAC selection committee
