Our fellowships are open to early-stage, for-profit, impact-driven founders from around the world!Halcyon defines “early-stage” as an idea to approximately $500,000 USD in annual recurring revenue. We are sector agnostic, and founders working in all sectors are eligible to apply.
To be eligible for our Flagship Residential Fellowship, you must be able to live at Halcyon, in Washington, DC and work on your venture full time during the residency portion of the fellowship: September, 2022-January, 2023.
The Flagship Residential Fellowship is an immersive experience for entrepreneurs who are able to commit fulltime to their ventures. Fellows live and work at Halcyon for 4 months and benefit from a cohort of fellows from around the world and a variety of sectors.
Our Intensive Fellowships are structured with a combination of monthly meetings and week-long in-person residencies (the Opportunity Intensive Fellowship has 2, one week long residencies in Washington, DC and the MENA Halcyon/AWS Intensive Fellowship has a 5 day in-person residency in Amman, Jordan).
Both our Flagship Residential and Intensive Fellowships offer a variety of benefits including skill development, access to a world class network of advisors, mentors, and technical experts, and membership in a life-long community of global Halcyon Fellows.

Application Tips
Halcyon’s application is an opportunity for the selection committee to learn more about you, your venture, and your vision for impact. The committee reviews each application using Halcyon’s 6 criteria: impact, problem/solution, sustainability, execution, innovation, and talent. Halcyon uses one application for the three fellowships we are currently recruiting for (Flagship Residential, MENA Halcyon/AWS Intensive, Opportunity Intensive Fellowships). On your application you may request to be considered for more than one fellowship. However, to support as many founders as possible, founders may only complete ONE fellowship. If you would like to be considered for multiple fellowships, you will designate the fellowship you are MOST interested in, and your application will be reviewed for that fellowship first.
Halcyon was founded with the mission to support the brightest and most committed impact-driven founders, regardless of background and previous access to resources. We recognize that applying to an internationally known fellowship can be daunting. Halcyon designed our application with the goal to provide you with a variety of ways to tell your story. This includes short answer questions, multiple-selection questions, and the opportunity to upload additional content.
It is not required to upload additional content, but this is a wonderful way to bring your application to life and can include- but is not limited to: pitch decks, short video or audio recordings, business model canvas, and other creative ways that you would like to tell your story. A short, informal video of you discussing your venture/vision is a great way to showcase your passion and drive! It doesn’t have to be fancy- it can be recorded on your phone or webcam. Don’t be afraid to have fun and show us your personality when completing your application. At Halcyon we love supporting founders with a clear vision, strong ambition, and the drive to create dramatic positive influence.
