APF Queen-Nellie Evans Scholarship 2023 is offering a $4,000 scholarship offered annually to a graduate student from underrepresented groups who has a demonstrated financial need and is committed to improving the disparities in societal structures and issues that negatively impact communities of colour, particularly communities of African descent.

The Queen-Nellie Evans scholarship funds a scholarship to a graduate student from underrepresented groups who has a demonstrated financial need and is committed to improving the disparities in societal structures and issues that negatively impact communities of color, particularly communities of African descent.

The Queen-Nellie Evans Scholarship was established by Arthur Evans in honor of his mother and grandmother. The APF Queen-Nellie Evans Scholarship awards one exceptional student with scholarship funds worth $4,000.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited master’s or doctoral program. The APF administers this grant to fund early career psychologists and graduate students using psychology to bring solutions. The applicants are expected to be inclined to find solutions to important community issues and bring significant change to people’s lives.

Preference is given to those who:

Are preparing for a career in academia, clinical service delivery, or public policy;see their work as helping to improve the condition of marginalized communities after the completion of their graduate studies;are members of the communities they seek to serve; orhave demonstrated experience serving marginalized communities.
